Blackjack Dealer Course 80 hours over a 4-week period

Spanish 21Our Blackjack Dealer Course is a comprehensive, intensive class designed to train our students in all of the aspects of Blackjack dealing. In this class you will be taught the rules and the object of the game of blackjack and similar games such as Spanish 21, Lucky Lady, Fortune Pai Gow, Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. You will be trained in dealer and player positioning, game control, table security, proper handling of insurance bets, blackjack payout, the playing of multiple hands, doubling down, and splitting pairs. You will learn to shuffle cards and deal from a multi-deck shoe. At the time of your graduation from this course you will have a thorough knowledge of these games as played in Washington casinos.

We will also teach you how to properly interview for a job and give you helpful audition techniques. Our goal is to provide you with the skills and confidence necessary to apply and audition for a position as a Blackjack Dealer, whether that be in a local casino, a cruise ship, with a casino party company, or a casino in any other state.

Included in this instruction are the basics of floor supervision, which can better help your understanding of dealing and overall casino operation, as well as give you additional marketable skills.

We designed our class to be completed in approximately 80 hours over a period of 4 weeks. We understand that some students will require more or less time to ultimately succeed. Practice time or refresher courses are available to you at no charge, and individual help can be negotiated as necessary.
    This course includes:

  • Presenting yourself as a professional: Appearance, attitude, dealing with customers
  • Controlling the table, shuffling, cutting, handling cards…includes dealing lessons
  • The shoe and lay of cards, money handling, tray maintenance, fills and credits
  • Payoff procedures: Blackjack payout and insurance bets, etc.
  • Deck and bank protection
  • Auditions…instructions and practice
  • Interviewing…giving yourself the best possible chance at the job you want

Poker Dealer Course 120 hours over a 6-week period

Poker Dealer CourseOur Poker Dealing Course is a complete and comprehensive class designed to train our students in all of the aspects of Poker dealing. In this class you will be taught the rules and objects of several poker games, including Texas Hold’em, Omaha and 7 Card Stud. In addition to card handling and dealing techniques you will learn game procedures, game protection and control. You will be trained t control bets, keep track of side bets, and to read hands. At the time of your graduation from this course you will have a thorough knowledge of these games as played in Washington casinos.

We will also teach you how to properly interview for a job and give you helpful audition techniques. Our goal is to provide you the skills and confidence necessary to apply and audition for a position as a Poker Dealer, whether that be in a local casino, on a cruise ship, with a casino party company, or a casino in any other state.
